It’s still test day! Click for more details.
Here’s the deal: I’m going to give you a scenario. You may select a partner (groups up to 3) to work with.
- Read through the prompt (below).
- Take as long as you need to practice it.
- Without notes (and without memorizing it), have someone else record it on your camera.
- Upload it to drive or YouTube.
- Share it with me.
You may not:
- Memorize it.
- Use any during your performance.
It should sound natural and have depth, but I’m expecting to see mistakes (dropped verbs, wrong words for things). Those mistakes show me that it was natural and they’re expected.
When you are finished, work on your valentine’s for next class. Here’s the links again if you lost them:
Pour la fĂȘte de Saint-Valentin:
I encourage you all to read through these pages to find good and useful phrases.
Here’s the prompt:
You are on vacation in France and you are just checking into your hotel. You go upstairs to your room to find that there is a problem with the room. Go back downstairs and tell the hotel clerk about the problem. Between the two (or three) of you, work out a solution to the problem.
Specifics:
- Make up your own problem. It can be anything from not being clean to having a dead body in it.
- Make sure there are some hiccups along the way so that you can show depth.
- If there are 3 people in the group, make sure you all have enough to say, so your prompt should be a little longer.
