Sub work 12/5/18 — Wednesday

To do: Two main things for today: (and Mary, please feed my fish 🙂 ) Step 1 A follow up from last time.  I’d like you to be able to tell me how to lay out a French or American place setting.  Using the vocab paper I gave you last time as well as the prepositions I gave you, describe to me either the French or American place setting.  Don’t feel like you need to do EVERYTHING.  As long as you feel like you’ve adequately shown me that you understand how to use directional vocab, I’m happy. If you need extra, there are more papers on my desk. Here’s a sample to get you going: (On met le = One places the…) Step 2 We’re going to learn how to compare two things.  Watch this really bad and boring video: Step 3 Find the paper labeled communication p. 119 from the desk.  Go around the room and complete it ask directed.  When you’re finished, write out your answers for ten people. Step 4 Staple your place setting and your comm p. 119 together.  Place them in the basket.

French I Today: The primary crux of today is going to be re-doing your tests.  Man, those were bad.  I. Mean. Bad. I’m in a meeting today, so I’ll be near a computer.  Feel free to email me. I might be able to answer you. TO DO: Step 1 Go get your test from yesterday.  They are in stacks on my desk.  If you were not here, take a blank one. Step 2 Before we do anything with the tests, please review.  Go to the vocab quizlet site.  Study the flash card terms.  When you’re ready.  Play the matching game.  Write your fastest time on the front page of your test. Step 3 Go back over your test.  I graded some, others I just made corrections on.  I got to the point in grading them that I decided that I couldn’t couldn’t use them as they were.  Your major task is simple. Fix any mistakes on there AND explain in English why it was wrong.  (i.e. it is masculine, etc.).  If you hadn’t gotten to that question yet, you don’t need to explain it, just answer it.
