Objective:
Know: Faire / Weather / Asking out
Do: Ask someone out and make plans
All, sorry I wasn’t in today. I’m at the central office writing curriculum. Ugh. Today, you are doing an assessment, so take it seriously. It’s actually pretty easy, I think.
Before I start, NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO TRANSLATORS TODAY!! NO, bad!
Ok, I feel better.
Anyway, here’s what to do:
- Go to https://quizlet.com/290495720/faire-flash-cards/
- Quiz yourself, quiz your neighbor. Know these terms inside and out. Then do them again.
Secondly, you’re going to record yourselves doing a dialogue between yourself and a partner. Here’s the prompt:
You ask out your friend. Of course they say yes. Decide what to do and when. Include one scheduling issue because of weather. Also, describe what you each will wear because of the weather. Be sure to include Faire statements.
Couple points:
- What’s a faire statement? Il fait beau… Je fais une promenade… Je vais faire du shopping etc.
- Record it on your phone using voice recorded.
- Upload it to drive.
- Share the sharing link with me here: DO NOT JUST EMAIL IT TO ME! I’LL LOSE IT IN MY INBOX!
Couple Hints:
- Write it out first. Take your time. No translators.
- Turn in your written copy.
Who’s my partner? (Done reverse alphabetically, sort of) Can I switch? Yes, if you both agree. Can I abandon my partner for someone else leaving them to work by themselves? No.
