In today’s edition, we have belly-shaped divots, more meltdowns, more quotes, and Mr. A’s senior profile. Click for more details.
Weeeelll… currently in the process of family melt-down number 2. They aren’t happy about their home school work today. Fortunately, my beautiful wife is bearing 90% of it.
Reece and I spent yesterday hanging this large swing that looks like a nest. It attaches to a tree and dangles about 15 feet. The first time I hung it about 1 foot off the ground. I hopped on and super manned. Then, the tree bowed, and I belly flopped onto the dirt and scrapped a full divot in the shape of my gut.
Went to another tree and had to use a ladder then climb out on the branch. Hung it again. This time, it was 6 feet off the ground. Had to get on to it with a ladder. Not going to work either, but a ton of fun.
Third time’s the charm and I added a chain from an old swing to the straps so now we’re good to go. 🙂
I also bought a new lawn tractor that won’t go up the steep front lawn. Yay me.
Overall, kiddos are doing well. We played hockey in the driveway yesterday and this old man managed to hurt himself. The littles ones are enjoying having Papa (as they call me) home. I’m even learning some of the names for the LOL dolls that they have here. I think my favorite it called Ip Baby. It might be It Baby, I can’t understand them and I don’t think they know either.
Here’s some Quotes from Quarantine for today:
Rayn: Yes!! The purple hamster lives!
Steff: Dungeon Betty over there complaining.
Christopher: the economy won’t crash this time. We have credit cards and that money’s imaginary.
Rayn: do you think the turkey misses me?
