Sub Work 10/25/18

Know: Directions verbs

Do: How to give directions

Here’s your sub work for today (click for more)

As I told you the other day, we skipped ahead a day so we can do this while I’m out today. We’re heading back to directions.  Here’s what to do:

First:

Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DPiY2dt0Cc

You don’t have to watch the entire thing, but it’ll remind you of our direction vocab.  Plus it’ll give you some new stuff.

Second:

Watch this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jPhwnN1rBM

You do need to watch most of it.  Once you get the idea on how to say 1st, second, 3rd, etc., you can stop.

Third:

Behind my desk are several green baskets.  In the third one, is a pile of papers that looks like Paris maps.  Grab one.

Starting at Église Saint-Suplice, write out directions on how to get to another monument that it at least 5 steps away.  Of course, you want to use your “first, second, next, finally, etc.”

Fourth: (This is the big one)

  1. Record yourself saying those directions into either your phone, a friend’s phone, or the computer in the back (headphones are in the back closet, help yourself — just put them back neatly.)
  2. Save that sound file to your Google Drive.
  3. Get the sharing link for that sound file (ask a neighbor if you don’t know how)
  4. Share that link of your audio directions with me by clicking here:
